Safari Itinerary:
Day 1 – NAIROBI
Met upon arrival with our “traditional welcome “and transfer to Nairobi Safari Club. This morning we will give you a full safari briefing, a safari hat and your itinerary. Balance of the day may be spent strolling in the city or visiting the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Manor. Tonight we dine at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Overnight stay at Nairobi Safari Club (Bed & breakfast).

Day 2 – SAMBURU
Depart after breakfast and drive further north crossing the Equator to the semi-desert Northern Frontier where Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba Reserves are located to arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy a thrilling afternoon game drive in Shaba game Reserve. Sarova Shaba, a luxurious lodge is set in born free country where the glories of nature are concentrated in this semi-desert oasis. Spring water flows throughout the lodge to form beautiful water cascades and sparkle into the Uaso Nyiro River. The habitat for crocodiles. Unique to this area are reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and the Somali ostrich. There are also lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, leopards, other big game and 100 species of birds. Sarova Shaba Lodge or similar. Full Board

Day 3 – SAMBURU
Leave with picnic lunch for game drive in Samburu.This area is quite unique for its geography and also for its wildlife. We can expect to witness an abundance of wildlife here including the long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. Sarova Shaba Lodge or similar. Full Board
Day 4 – LAKE NAKURU
Leave after breakfast and drive via Nyahururu falls for a photostop before proceeding down into the Great Rift valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its thousands flamingos and other birds. After lunch enjoy a game drive through the park and a visit to the lake, set on a plateau on the Rift Valley, overlooking one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles, Lake Nakuru stands Lion Hill Lodge it is beautifully landscaped with nature foliage and a startling variety of flower gardens. The panoramic view from the lodge reveals a shimmering pink glow across the lake, created by millions of flamingos, pelicans and Marabou Storks. The park is also a sanctuary for the rare black rhino, leopard, waterbuck and other species of birds.Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar.

Day 5 – MAASAI MARA
Depart after breakfast leaving Lake Nakuru behind and drive across the Rift Valley to Narok town, proceed on to Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. The Mara is actually the northern tip of the famous Serengeti. During your afternoon game drive you may see all of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) as well as plains game such as giraffe, antelope and Zebra. Mara Sopa Lodge or similar. Day 6 – MAASAI MARA
Early morning game drive and after breakfast game drive until time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve Kenya’s premier reserve, home to huge numbers of plains games such as wildebeest Zebras and gazelle as well as large populations of lions. The Mara River which runs through the reserve contains many hippo and crocodiles. Mara Sopa Lodge or similar. Full Board
Day 7 – ONWARD FLIGHT
Early morning game drives and after breakfast drive to Nairobi. Have lunch then transfer to the airport afterwards to catch your outbound flight. In the event of a late evening flight, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport.
